Dr. Okemwa has practiced her nursing career with several prestigious organizations including: Allied Resources Medical Staffing, University of Delaware, Leigh Valley Hospital, Mainline Health Systems, Wellspan Health Networks, University of Penn Medicine, Kids Peace Children's Behavioral Hospital, and Kensington Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Her experience includes several areas of nursing including patient rehabilitation, geriatric care, adolescent/infant care, and several leadership roles. She has been recognized for her exceptional efforts including winning the Student of Distinction Academic Excellence Award by the University of Delaware, the Outstanding Extraordinary Patient Care Nurse Award by the Daisy Foundation, induction into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, and the induction to the Phi Theta Tau International Honor Society.
